Frequently Asked Questions
How should I prepare for my appointment?
It is the patient's responsibility to confirm with their ordering physician if fasting is required. If you need to fast, please schedule an appointment early in the morning in order to avoid going prolonged hours without eating. Drinking plenty of water before a blood test is also advised.
If I do not have insurance, can I still use WHY-C Mobile Labs' services?
Of course! There are plenty of laboratories that offer self-pay services. We will charge the convenience fee, plus the self-pay prices being offered by the laboratory of your choice. Please note that you must call your chosen laboratory and verify the prices with them. We are an independent company and are not affiliated with any laboratory so we do not have the pricing packages or payment methods of other laboratories.
If I did not get a lab test ordered, can I still request the test to be conducted by WHY-C Mobile Labs?
Unfortunately, we require that you have a requisition form from an ordering physician. We cannot order for tests to be done without the request from a medical professional.
How do I know if WHY-C Mobile Labs is covered by my insurance?
WHY-C Mobile Labs collects your lab specimen and delivers it to the laboratory covered under your insurance. We charge only a convenience fee. For instance, if you have AVMED, we deliver your results to Quest Diagnostic, and the lab technicians at that laboratory process your results as normal.
What information do I need to provide you with?
We request that you send us copy of your license, insurance card, and the requisition form/script from your ordering physician.
Can you send my results to more than one physician?
Due to patient privacy laws such as HIPAA, we can only send the results to the physician that ordered the lab work. However, you can call the ordering physician's office and request for them to send the copy of your results to other physician's offices.
Is your convenience fee for each lab test?
